Voice K’s NYC Trip

Written by

Voice K kids reporters are going on a special tour to the NYC!

The NYC tour is slightly different from a family vacation. It is about seeing the city in a different angle. A journalistic journey that explores the details. People say that you may really know a city without living there. It is almost true. Going to the tourist attractions like zombies strolling is the same as watching a movie about the city on TV.

We encourage our young journalists to take an active role in this trip. Our team will meet up and brainstorm every night. Each journalist has an assignment to complete. During the tour, we will keep a live blog (with articles, pictures, videos) of our daily activities. At the end of the tour, we are making a final book project.

From the Editor:

New York City is one of the world’s most populous cities and metropolitan areas. It is the center of cultural and art exchange. It is a city of dreams and freedom. I have had the opportunity to frequently visit and really get to know New York City for the past couple years. There is so much to explore there, not to mention the vibrant art scene and fast-paced lifestyle. It is a city that slowly grows on you. This summer, a group of Voice K journalists is going to New York City to gather inspiration to create a special edition of the magazine. For me, there is nothing more exciting than a group trip with my favorite people.

See you in New York.
